FRONT NINE GRAND OPENING
The Course at Pillow Springs was originally Stoneybrook Golf Course until it was purchased in September of 2021. After extensive planning the Baker family embarked on a plan to build an entirely new golf course, putting course and 2 level driving range.
Starting last October 1st, the front nine was closed and we began the complete re-design. After 13 months we are ready to open the new front. New turf grasses for the tees and fairways, Bermuda TifTuf, and greens consisting of Zoysia Prism, a new state of the art turf that will give our patrons playability and consistency unlike anywhere else.
The new front has the feel of a links style course, with fairways boarded by native grass. This nine will be a shot maker’s challenge, with placement off the tee a premium. Our new 60,000 square foot putting course will be a big hit with the savvy and novice golfer alike. This is just the start of many more exciting things to come. Work has already begun on the new back nine, but, we’ll be playing the old back though the end of the year.
